It's time to learn to sew with rope! And did you know you can EMBROIDER on them too???
We will learn tips and tricks for constructing the rope coasters and the dish to hold them. After creating one coaster, we'll move to embroidering and learn the tips you need to customize your coasters! Can you imagine the great custom gifts you'll be able to create!
This class is offered twice. A Virtual Night class via zoom, and an In Person Day class. Please make sure you choose the right session!
The night class is from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The day class is from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Requirements: | Supplies needed: ~100' of 3/16" white clothesline 100% cotton. Do not use rope! Natural colored clothesline with give a more vintage look. ~Embroidery Sewing machine with an adjustable zigzag stitch ~Size 90/14 needle ~ZigZag presser foot ~thread to match clothesline ~Minimum of 2 bobbins wound with same thread ahead of time (This project uses a lot of thread) ~Sharp Scissors ~Straight pins ~Ruler ~Wonder Clips are helpful if you have them ~Erasable marking pen, if you have one ~Optional: Matching felt for the back side and fabric glue to attach it ~Supplies needed for embroidery: ~4x4 hoop ~Fabric-like water soluble stabilizer (I like Aqua Magic by Inspira. You can get it at the Viking ~Sewing Galleries in the Brookfield or Greenfield Joann's.) ~Paper tape ~Solvy ~Embroidery Thread |
