Weekend Retreat at Indigo Star Retreat March 2023

Join Log Cabin Sewing Company for a 2 night, 3 day retreat to Indigo Star Retreat House in Hartford, WI!

Thursday, March 23rd through Saturday, March 25th, 2023

Check-In time is 10:00 am on Thursday and checkout is 2:00 pm on Saturday.

We will sew, sew, sew!  Bring whatever projects you would like to work on.  This is an open sew retreat.

We can bring 11 people with us.  There are 3 bedrooms with 3 beds each, and 1 bedroom with 2 beds.  If you would like to room with a friend, please be sure to tell us so when can make arrangements.

The cost of the retreat covers the two nights stay.  Meals will be divided up and attendees will be asked to take responsibility for a meal.  Example: You and another person may be asked to provide the food for Saturday breakfast.  This will be done after the retreat is full.

Due to the nature of this trip, your payment is non-refundable if you should be unable to attend.  If there is time, you may find someone to take your place.  We will try to help, but cannot guarantee that we will have someone else to come.

Attendees are asked by Indigo Star to complete a Guest Registration Form and sign a waiver.  Once you sign up, you will be sent the forms and the guidelines.  If you would like to see the site, please visit Indigo Star Retreat.

What to Bring: • Bring quilting and sewing projects, fabric, cutting tools, sewing machine (don’t forget your cords, presser feet, bobbin case and foot petal!) and anything that you would use for sewing at home. • A cutting station is available, but you may want to bring a personal cutting mat for your table. • Two ironing stations with full-size irons are provided. (Small travel irons at your sewing table are welcome) • All sewing stations come equipped with comfortable ergonomic rolling task chairs (please leave yours at home) and task lights. Overhead lighting is exceptional. Each guest has a 30” x 60” sturdy table. • Extra power cords/strips (Each section of tables [either 3 or 4 tables] is provided with 1- 2 two power strips) • Bedding and towels are provided as is hand soap and a hair dryer in each bathroom. Please bring your own personal shower items such as shampoo and body wash. • For your comfort, it is suggested that you bring slippers in lieu of going barefoot. • Indigo Star will provide toilet paper and a couple rolls of paper toweling for the kitchen. Additional rolls of paper toweling and/or napkins should be brought by the group. • If you wish to minimize dishwashing, feel free to bring paper goods. • Along with your own planned meals, please remember: coffee (filters provided), tea, creamer, sweetener, snacks/food, spices (however, there are some basic spices in the cabinet), beverages, zip lock baggies, food containers, tin foil, plastic wrap, etc. We are only 2-3 miles from a grocery store should you forget something.
